March Madness
March Madness for the 2009-2010 is completed. Many thanks for everyones' continued support.
Congratulations to our two highest sellers: JT Woolley, grade 3 was the highest seller, followed very closely by Tahlia Johnson, grade 1. Both will be recognized for their efforts with a sellers prize! Great job JT and Tahlia!
In addition to helping with the ongoing costs associated with the season, the fundraiser enabled us to provide the following:
- Licensed offcials for the 7/8 Boys and 6/7/8 Girls In Town programs.
- Free clinics in December for grades 1 through 4, which were a great success. We had over 120 players participate in these clinics run by the High School players and coaches. MYBA makes a donation to the High School program for their work at the clinics.
- New backboards were purchased and installed at the Wheelock Gym in 2008
- We provided a leadership contribution of $20,000, for the installation of new floors in both gyms at Wheelock in 2008.
At the top of MYBA's list for future projects is the renovation and addition of new hoops for the outdoor basketball courts at the High School.
